The Small Print

  1. The PV performance figures are for illustrative purposes for a typical south facing roof with no shading.
  2. From March 2012 your property will need an energy performance rating of D or above to qualify for the feed-in tarrif.
  3. You should expect the panels performance to degrade over time in line with the manufacturer's estimates and you may need to replace the inverter during the lifetime of the system.
  4. VAT is included at 5%. A new build or business property would attract VAT at 20%
  5. The FITs will rise in line with inflation and energy costs will rise - this has been included in the calculation at 3% (inflation) and 5% (energy)
  6. Energy prices are likely to rise over the lifetime of the system - this hasn't been included in the calculation.
