A Renewable Future

Just Power for Communities CIC (JPfC) is a social enterprise specialising in solar PV installations for community led organisations.  JPfC was established 2011 with support from Locality members to help them access solar PV so they can cut costs and carbon: becoming genuinely sustainable community enterprises.

Our vision is to develop ethical and sustainable local energy solutions to help increase local resiliance.  We believe communities can:

• act to improve energy security and create decentralized energy supplies 
• take some control over the current and growing economic and environmental crises that we face, showing how positive, practical and viable community led action can be taken. 
• act in a positive and ethical way to develop lasting solutions that are appropriate to their locality, and are financially and environmentally viable: truly sustainable in the long term.  

Just Power for Communities will especially help those communities who don’t have the chance to access the opportunities to enable them to become energy micro-generators because of lack of investment, capacity, skills, knowledge or relationships.  

Just Power for Communities aims to genenate profits to return to our shareholders: Locality, the Key Fund and Wolseley Community Economic Development Trust;  each of whom invest in communities. And to reinvest back in the social enterprise itself - enabling us to empower more communities.
